Sound familiar?

Do simple school tasks turn into daily battles, even with reminders and planning?

The challenge usually isn’t ability. It’s being expected to organize, plan, and manage time without ever being taught how. Your child understands the material. Execution is the missing piece.

They are not alone. We can help.

What coaching builds

Lasting academic systems, not last-minute rescues.

Skills your child carries into high school, university, college, or certification programs, long after coaching ends.

  • Set clear goals

Weekly targets your child actually sets, and owns.

  • Reduce test anxiety

Preparation systems that make exams feel predictable.

  • Execute independently

From “did you start yet?” to work that gets done unprompted.

  • Stronger executive skills

Attention, working memory, and follow-through, trained deliberately.

  • Build study routines

Repeatable structures that survive busy weeks.

  • School-life balance

Less catch-up chaos, more time for everything else.

A typical week

One skill per session. Applied to real schoolwork, immediately.

  1. Learn the skill. Each session targets one executive-functioning skill: planning, prioritizing, breaking down projects.

  2. Apply it right away. The second half of the session is spent using the skill on this week’s actual assignments.

  3. Adjust in real time. The coach watches it work (or not) and refines the approach in the same session, with no waiting a week to course-correct.

What makes it different

This is more than tutoring.

How, not just what

Tutoring focuses on understanding a particular subject. Academic Success Coaching focuses on how a student approaches learning: planning, organization, time management, studying, task initiation, problem-solving, and follow-through, practised on their current coursework so support is immediately relevant.

Built for real school systems

Our practitioners bring expertise in special education and current school systems. The program is particularly supportive for neurodivergent learners and students who benefit from explicit instruction in organization, planning, and effective learning strategies.

Relationship first

The foundation of the program is relationship-building. When students feel supported and understood, they’re more open to developing new habits, and we focus on sustainable systems that last well beyond coaching.

Our simple process

Three steps. No pressure at any of them.

Questions parents ask

Frequently asked questions

Who is an Academic Coach, and how does coaching help?
An Academic Coach is a professional trained in education who helps students develop the executive-functioning skills that drive school performance. Coaching is skill-based, structured, and goal-oriented, and especially helpful for students who feel overwhelmed, struggle with organization or time management, or attend tutoring without retaining information. Programming is fully individualized, built around each student’s Personalized Student Profile.
How does the program actually work?
Choose the stream that fits: Self-Paced Coaching (up to once weekly, booked as needed, $180/session) or the Structured Program (2–3 recurring sessions per week, $120/session). It starts with an Academic and Executive-Function Intake Assessment, where your coach builds a Personalized Student Profile. From there, sessions apply practical strategies directly to current schoolwork: organizing materials, planning assignments, managing deadlines, and strengthening follow-through. Fees are inclusive of HST.
Is coaching covered by insurance?
Academic coaching isn’t a regulated healthcare service, so it isn’t covered by extended health plans; sessions are private pay. If your child also receives psychotherapy at our clinic, we’ll help you understand the difference and choose what fits best.
What results can we expect?
Outcomes compound with consistency, but the first few weeks often bring noticeable shifts: better organization, clearer routines, and more willingness to complete tasks. Over time, expect stronger time management, lower academic stress, less reliance on reminders, and real independence.
Does it work for students with ADHD or learning disabilities?
Yes. It’s designed for them. We specialize in ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and executive-functioning challenges. In the first session your coach learns how your child learns best, then matches strategies and structures to their profile.
